Mr. Plesser holds a Master’s degree in Public Law (LL.M.) from Tel Aviv University (magna cum laude).

Mr. Plesser serves as a presiding judge in the Tel Aviv Bar Association’s Disciplinary Court and has served as Vice-Chairman of the Professional Standards Advisory Committee of the ICCBA (International Criminal Court Bar Association).

Among other roles, Mr. Plesser served as an arbitrator on behalf of the Ethics Committee in fee disputes and as an arbitrator in the U-Trade case regarding professional negligence in the Forex field. He has also represented private clients in civil litigation in the field of professional liability.

Mr. Plesser published an academic book titled: “Transitional Justice: The Impact of the Shin Beth Affair on Israeli Society“. Additionally, he has published several academic articles which have been cited by the Israeli Supreme Court, and in Chief Justice Isaac Amit’s book on Privileges and Protected Interests.

Furthermore, for many years, he served as a teaching assistant in Criminal Law, Evidence Law, Criminal Procedure, and Public Officials’ Immunity at several law faculties, including Tel Aviv and Haifa Universities.

Mr. Young has been recognized by various U.S. and international publications as one of the most skilled and widely respected mediators and arbitrators in the United States. Specifically, Best Lawyers chose him as “Lawyer of the Year” for Arbitration (New York City) for 2024 and 2021, and as “Lawyer of the Year” for Mediation (New York City) for 2019. Chambers and Partners identified Mr. Young as one of the top mediators in the United States and bestowed its highest ranking (Band One) on him from 2016-2023. Chambers has noted “his deft, subtle handling of mediations…” and his reputation as that of a “very talented yet very humble” mediator who “enjoys a strong reputation for his expert understanding of complex insurance and class action disputes, as well as a wide range of other matters.” Finally, he has been recognized in Who’s Who Legal for Commercial Mediation since 2014 (noting that he “receives praise internationally as a standout practitioner,” and is recognized for his “conciliatory and diplomatic approach to disputes”) and, by the same publication, as a “Global Elite Thought Leader” in 2022.

Mr. Young is a 1978 Harvard Law School graduate and spends part of his year in New York and part of his year in Jerusalem.
